Never be highly demanding

The expectation of quantum jump in terms of job profile or pay package allures a career oriented person to look for a change.

If you pass the initial phases of the interview successfully, then you need to be ready for the question about your expectations. Though primarily it depends upon your current job and situation, the experts always advice to think hundred times before placing your demand in the interview. If you are smart enough to raise a hefty amount or position, the interviewer may immediately rule you out. Perhaps it is best to wait for their decision and then start negotiating accordingly.

It is true that changing in the same profile or same salary in a same standard of company does not carry any sense.

Again an exorbitant demand may disqualify you at the initial level itself. It is always advisable to remain rational and slowly placing your demands. Never forget that the economic meltdown has marred everybody around the globe and they may look at the futuristic point of view.

Even if you join at a lower salary or position, your energetic hard work can be rewarded at any point of time as no corporate wants to loose any performer!
