The objective of GMAT is to test the candidate’s Verbal (English), Mathematical and Analytical ability and Writing skill. It is the most essential exam for getting international student visas. Eligibility Criteria: Graduate Management Admission Test has no such eligibility criteria in case of qualification or age for taking the test. Even a minor or a candidate below the age 18 needs to contact the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The score is actually valid up to five years but it is always better that the score should be current (not more than two years) as most of the universities prefer current scores. One can appear for GMAT as many times he wants but it is good to take preparation well and go for it once for having a better result. The universities, where you are seeking admission to, calculate the average of all your GMAT scores for consideration of your candidature.
Schedule: GMAT exam can be given at any point of time in any major city, the Educational Testing Services or ETS centres organize tests five days a week (Monday to Friday). The interested candidates are to be informed that many others also offer the facilities of GMAT. As most of the universities start the admission process in the month of January, September to December becomes the high priority season for GMAT. So, registration should done 90 days before to get the perfect date for such a highly demanding season. In normal condition, registration, 15 days prior to the exam is mandatory. The GMAT test lasts approximately for four hours, and most centre offer two time slots: 9 A.M. and 2 P.M.
Test Type: Graduate Management Admission Test has four sections which are strictly timed section. Three of them are the main - Analytical Writing Assessment, Quantitative Section and Verbal section.

Score: GMAT score ranges from 200 to 800 and the average candidates score between 400 to 600 and the median score is near about 500. Actually most of the management schools seek for ranges of GMAT score between 600 to 740, though different institutes have different scoring rates.
Exam fees: For the exam US $250 is required (including the fees for sending the score to 5 different Universities). Also US $28 is required for sending the score to the additional universities.
