Xavier Admission Test (XAT) or XAT is conducted by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur every year for selection of future managers in some leading management institutes in India. XLRI was founded in 1949.
XAT has become one of the most prestigious national level exam for admission in post graduate management courses to the Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI ), Jamshedpur, Xavier Institute of Management (XIM) Bhubaneswar, Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME ) Bangalore and other 60 management institutes associated with XAT.

Schedule: XAT is held one time in a year in the month of January. Exam centers are spread over 31 cities across India. Normally XAT registration process takes place between the month of September and November.
Eligibility: Bachelor Degree from recognized university or deemed university, which precisely means completion of 10+2+3m are eligible to appear in the XAT exam. Final year students of 10+2+3 can also apply for XAT

Generally, a duration of 120 minutes is allotted for100 to 150 questions and additional 20 minute is given for essay writing. It is to be noted that the pattern has been changing every year.
